The Cramant Grand Cru 2019 Extra Brut vintage from Champagne Bérêche & Fils is a single-vineyard expression of the chalky terroir of Cramant , in the heart of the Côte des Blancs .
This 100% Chardonnay Blanc de Blancs comes from the vineyards of Le Bateau and Chemin de Chalon , located between 170 and 190 meters above sea level , on clay-limestone soil resting on an outcropping of Campanian chalk . The 45-year- old vines are cultivated with soil management and respect for the environment .
The wine is vinified in oak barrels with slow fermentation , followed by aging on the lees without filtration. Secondary fermentation under cork and manual disgorging allow for a pure expression of the terroir. Disgorgement is dated July 2024 , with an Extra Brut dosage of 1 g/L .
