Domaine Castéra - Memòria 2021
Published on October 13, 2025
The 2021 Memòria vintage from Domaine Castéra is a white wine made from Petit Manseng and Gros Manseng grapes, planted together in 1971 on a small plot called "Caubeigt," characterized by clay and gravel soils with a 10-20% slope and a southwest exposure. Classified as a Vin de France , this wine benefits from meticulous winemaking with hand-harvested grapes, the use of indigenous yeasts , and aging on its lees in various wooden containers and stoneware eggs, resulting in an uncompromising expression of terroir.

Tasting profile
Tasting profile
This micro-parcel wine is rich, complex, and concentrated. The powerful nose reveals deep aromas of ripe yellow fruit, acacia honey, saffron, and subtle toasty or vanilla notes from oak aging. On the palate, it is dense, full-bodied, and structured. The natural acidity of the Manseng grapes ensures balance and impressive length. This is a wine for contemplation or fine dining with excellent aging potential.
