Grethen - Savigny 2019
Grethen - Savigny 2019
This Champagne is a single-vineyard "Savigny" cuvée from Domaine Grethen , a Blanc de Meunier (made exclusively with Pinot Meunier grapes). It comes from the lieu-dit Les Vignes de la Vallée in Savigny-sur-Ardre, Marne. It is a 2019 vintage and a Brut Nature (with no added sugars). The vines are 45 years old and face east on Lutetian clay-limestone soil. Vinification is carried out using indigenous yeasts without fining or filtration, with a long aging process of 36 months in oak barrels and 36 months in the bottle , and a minimal addition of sulfites (maximum 30 mg/l ) to ensure the integrity of the aromas.

Tasting profile
Tasting profile
This Blanc de Meunier, with its extended aging in both barrel and bottle, promises great depth. Expect notes of yellow fruits (mirabelle plum, peach), a touch of honey and hazelnut (from the barrel), and a lovely, tangy freshness typical of the grape variety, with a vinous and completely dry finish (Brut Nature).
Serving temperature: 10°C and 13°C
Food and wine pairings
Food and wine pairings
Blanc de Meunier often offers a fruitier and more indulgent character. It pairs well with fine charcuterie, a creamy mushroom soup, or lightly spiced Asian dishes (without excessive sugar).
