This "Clos Sainte-Sophie" 2019 Champagne is an exceptional Blanc de Blancs produced by Jacques Lassaigne. Made from a historic 0.4-hectare walled vineyard belonging to the Valton family since 1913, this wine is a pure expression of Chardonnay on the Upper Cretaceous chalk of Montgueux. True to Emmanuel Lassaigne's uncompromising style, this cuvée is presented as a Brut Nature, offering rare tension and aromatic purity, magnified by wood aging which brings it a singular complexity.
