Pierre Paillard - Verzenay Grand Cru Vieilles Vignes 2019
Published on November 12, 2025
This 2019 "Verzenay Grand Cru Vieilles Vignes - Pinot Noir" Champagne is crafted by the 8th generation of Champagne Pierre Paillard in Bouzy (Grand Cru), but here it is made exclusively from the Grand Cru classified terroir of Verzenay , on the Montagne de Reims. This single-vineyard Blanc de Noirs (Pinot Noir) comes from old vines in the lieux-dits "Les Corettes" and "Les Champs St Martin." After vinification and aging for 10 months in oak barrels, it benefited from a very long aging process of 48 months in chalk cellars before being disgorged in December 2023 with a very low dosage of Extra Brut (2 g/L) . A wine of purity and character.
