Simon Rion - Les 2 Parcelles 2022

53,90 € 71,87 € / 1 l

Description

A generous and versatile cuvée from Simon Rion, born from two distinct plots within the same micro-terroir: les Roses (13 ares) and les Triquesdoux (10 ares). This cuvée embodies the richness of Meunier and the structure of Pinot Noir in a harmonious dialogue.

The composition reveals a straightforward philosophy: 60% Meunier, a grape often underestimated but remarkably round, bringing fruit, indulgence, and natural suppleness, combined with 40% Pinot Noir for structure, depth, and minerality. The 2022 harvest was pressed directly together at the press – immediate blending preserving the harmony of the place.

Aged entirely in oak barrels (350L and 228L casks), the wine underwent complete malolactic fermentation and 11 months on total lees with regular bâtonnage. This extended maturation develops remarkable complexity, integrated woody finesse, and roundness. Unfiltered and unfined, this champagne remains authentic and natural. Disgorged on October 1, 2025, with a discreet dosage of 1 gram as "Extra Brut," it fully expresses the terroir of Les Roses and Les Triquesdoux.

Production of 720 bottles. With its 12.5% alcohol, it is a lively and generous champagne – a grower's wine where Meunier showcases its finest qualities, balanced by the nobility of Pinot Noir: a beautiful demonstration of oenological sincerity.
