A Chardonnay from Vertus with a pure style, between power and minerality

The fruit of the rigorous work of the Fourny family, winegrowers in Vertus since 1856, this Chardonnay cuvée from Vertus Extra Brut perfectly illustrates their philosophy: respect for life, expression of the terroir and minimalism in the cellar.

Made from 100% Chardonnay grown on plots in Premier Cru, on rendzine soils on chalk and 40-year- old vines, this wine is vinified with the greatest discretion to let the mineral speak. No superfluous additions: no filtration , natural fermentation , 7 months on lees , 25% aging in barrels and a blend of 3 consecutive vintages , enriched with 20% reserve wines .

The dosage is minimal: Extra Brut at 5 g/L , made only from grape sugar. A confidential vintage, bottled and aged in their 19th century cellars , corking guaranteed without cork taint.
