The Les Blanchiens Brut Nature cuvée from Champagne R. Pouillon & Fils is a Premier Cru expression of the Mareuil-sur-Aÿ terroir, 2017 vintage.
Coming from the favorite plot of Fabrice Pouillon's father , it embodies the founding spirit of all the house's wines . This DNA wine is composed of 50% Pinot Noir and 50% Chardonnay , grown on clay-limestone soil from the Upper Campanian .
Vinification is carried out in oak barrels for 12 months , followed by aging on cork for 5 years . Disgorging took place in the 4th quarter of 2023 , without the addition of sugar ( Brut Nature ).
